On rm-worx.be only a very small amount of browser storage is used. The main categories are: • strictly necessary technical storage from the hosting environment, and • a simple visit counter using localStorage and a Firebase database. No advertising cookies, no social media pixels, no Google Analytics.
The hosting environment may set technical cookies or similar mechanisms that are necessary for: • serving the site securely, • handling basic traffic, and • protecting against abuse. These are considered strictly necessary and cannot easily be switched off without breaking core functionality.
A small counter is stored in your browser’s localStorage to keep track of how many times this device has visited the site. • This value stays only on your device. • It is not used to track you across other websites. • It is used to display a tiny counter and avoid obvious double-counting in the global stats. If you clear your browser storage, this counter resets.
Every time the page is loaded, a global numeric counter is incremented in a Firebase/Firestore document. • Only an aggregated number is stored (e.g. "total visits = 1234"). • The same applies to the aggregated click counters for the project buttons: one number per button, nothing about who clicked. • No detailed tracking profiles are built from these counters. • It is purely used as a very simple indicator of site usage.
You can manage cookies and local storage via your browser settings: • you can delete cookies, • you can clear localStorage, • you can block certain types of storage. If you block all storage, some parts of the site (such as the visit counter) may not work as intended, but the basic content should remain available.
If additional tools are introduced in the future (for example analytics, embedded third-party services or anything that sets extra cookies), this Cookie Policy will be updated accordingly. The version you see here is the one currently in effect.
